A prestigious Gold Coast estate in Lloyd Harbor required a complete driveway and entrance transformation. The existing asphalt surface was deteriorating, the property entrance lacked the architectural presence expected on the North Shore, and extensive land clearing and grading was needed before any hardscaping could begin. The homeowner wanted a grand estate driveway with premium material transitions, a decorative paver medallion, professional landscape lighting, and a finished result that matched the caliber of Lloyd Harbor's most distinguished properties.
We executed a comprehensive estate hardscape project starting with full land clearing and precision grading of the entire driveway corridor. The main driveway system was paved with commercial-grade hot-mix asphalt engineered for heavy estate use. Premium paver aprons were installed at every transition point — the entrance, motor court, and garage approaches. A custom decorative paver medallion was set as the centerpiece of the motor court, creating an arrival statement visible from the main entrance. Paver borders were installed along the full driveway perimeter for a clean, permanent edge. Masonry work was completed at grade transitions and key structural points. A complete low-voltage landscape lighting system was installed to illuminate the driveway, borders, medallion, and masonry features.
The completed project transformed the estate's approach into one of Lloyd Harbor's most striking driveways. The combination of fresh asphalt, paver aprons, the decorative medallion, and crisp paver borders created a material hierarchy that builds visual impact from the street to the front door. Professional drone photography captured the full scale of the T-shaped driveway system, the medallion centerpiece, and the estate's grandeur. The 3-part professional video series documents the transformation from start to finish — from raw land clearing through the final reveal.

The homeowner had an aging, uneven concrete patio with poor drainage that flooded during heavy rain. The backyard was unusable for entertaining and lacked any defined outdoor living space. Overgrown landscaping encroached on the patio area, and the existing grade sloped toward the foundation.
We designed and executed a full backyard transformation including demolition of the old concrete slab, re-grading the entire yard for proper water flow away from the house, installation of a 600 sq ft Cambridge paver patio with Armortec protection, a seating wall with integrated lighting, and a French drain system tied into a dry well to eliminate the flooding problem permanently.
The finished project gave the family a beautiful, functional outdoor living space with room for dining, a fire pit area, and plenty of room for entertaining. The drainage issues were completely resolved. No more standing water, even during the heaviest Long Island storms. The homeowner reported the space became the most-used area of their home.

The homeowner wanted to replace a dated, cracking concrete pool surround with a modern paver patio that matched the style of their recently renovated home. The existing pool deck had uneven surfaces that were a tripping hazard, and water pooled in several low spots rather than draining away from the pool.
Our team removed the old concrete surround and installed a new Nicolock paver pool patio with slip-resistant texture around the entire pool perimeter. We incorporated a pitch-perfect grade away from the pool with strategically placed channel drains to handle splash-out and rainfall. Matching paver coping was installed along the pool edge for a seamless, finished look.
The new pool patio transformed the entire backyard atmosphere. The slip-resistant pavers provided safe footing for the family, the drainage eliminated all standing water, and the premium material selection elevated the home's outdoor aesthetic. The project was completed on schedule in time for summer.

The homeowner's existing asphalt driveway was over 20 years old with extensive cracking, potholes, and crumbling edges. The driveway had no defined border, which allowed the edges to deteriorate faster. Drainage ran toward the garage instead of the street, causing water intrusion into the foundation.
We performed a full driveway removal down to the subgrade, then installed a properly compacted crushed concrete base per NYS specifications. Belgian block borders were set in concrete along both sides and the apron for a clean, finished edge. The new asphalt was laid in two lifts with proper compaction at each stage, and the entire driveway was graded to pitch water toward the street.
The new driveway completely transformed the home's curb appeal. The Belgian block borders added an upscale finishing touch that the homeowner loved, and the corrected drainage pitch eliminated the water intrusion problem. The project was completed in just 3 days with full cleanup.

The homeowner's original concrete stoop had settled nearly 3 inches, creating a visible gap between the stoop and the front door threshold. The steps were cracked and uneven, posing a safety risk for the family. The railing posts were loose in their concrete bases and the entire structure looked weathered and neglected.
We demolished the failing stoop down to the footer, excavated deeper to install a proper reinforced concrete footing, and rebuilt the entire structure from the ground up. New masonry steps were constructed with a natural stone veneer, matching the home's existing stone facade. New aluminum railings were anchored into the masonry for code-compliant safety. The landing was pitched away from the door for proper water runoff.
The rebuilt stoop completely renewed the home's entrance. The natural stone veneer matched the home beautifully, the level landing eliminated the door gap, and the new railings provided safe, solid handholds. The homeowner said it felt like a brand-new house from the curb.

The homeowners had a large backyard with an in-ground pool but no hardscape, just grass surrounding the pool that turned to mud every time it rained. They wanted a complete outdoor living space with a patio for dining, an outdoor kitchen for entertaining, and proper hardscape around the entire pool area.
We designed a comprehensive outdoor living space starting with a 900+ sq ft paver patio wrapping the pool on three sides. An outdoor kitchen island was built with a built-in grill, counter space, and a bar-height seating area using matching Cambridge pavers. A separate dining patio was connected via a paver walkway. The entire project included channel drains around the pool perimeter and landscape lighting for evening use.
The project turned an underused backyard into the family's primary entertainment space. The outdoor kitchen became the centerpiece of summer gatherings, the pool patio eliminated the mud problem entirely, and the landscape lighting extended usability well into the evening. The homeowners reported hosting more than they ever had before.

A 4-acre Old Westbury estate needed a complete driveway renovation. The existing asphalt driveway was 380 feet long, riddled with cracks, and had poor drainage that caused water to pool near the motor court. The homeowner wanted the new driveway to match the Georgian architecture of the home and integrate with existing Belgian block gateposts at the property entrance.
We designed a two-material system: commercial-grade hot-mix asphalt for the main 340-foot driveway run with Belgian block borders on both sides, transitioning to a full Cambridge Ledgestone paver motor court with a center landscape island and circular traffic flow. The motor court measured 1,800 square feet with a herringbone pattern and matching step-down curbing. We installed 6 trench drains at critical water collection points and tied them into two new dry wells. The Belgian block border was set in concrete for permanence and matched the existing gateposts.
The completed driveway transformed the approach to the estate. The Belgian block borders provided a clean architectural line from gate to motor court, and the Cambridge paver motor court delivered the visual impact the homeowner wanted. Drainage was completely resolved — no more pooling even during heavy nor'easters. The project was completed on time despite two rain delays and received enthusiastic feedback from the homeowner and their landscape architect.

A hillside property in Cold Spring Harbor had a pool set 8 feet below the main house level. The existing concrete pool surround was cracked and settling, with no usable outdoor living space. The steep grade made access difficult and created persistent drainage issues that directed storm water toward the pool. The homeowner wanted a resort-quality pool area with an outdoor kitchen, fire feature, and safe, elegant access from the house.
We engineered a multi-level terrace system with two Nicolock retaining walls (4 feet and 3 feet) to create three distinct living zones. The upper terrace at house level featured a 240 sq ft outdoor kitchen with built-in grill, refrigerator, and bar seating. Natural bluestone steps with integrated LED lighting connected to the mid-level pool deck — 1,200 sq ft of travertine pavers with bullnose coping. A lower fire pit terrace used matching travertine on a reinforced base. French drains behind both retaining walls and channel drains around the pool perimeter solved all drainage issues. The entire system was engineered for the slope and approved by the town.
The finished project turned an unusable hillside into a three-level outdoor resort. The travertine pool deck stayed cool underfoot all summer, the outdoor kitchen became the center of weekend entertaining, and the fire pit terrace provided a sheltered evening gathering space. The retaining walls created over 400 sq ft of additional usable space that did not exist before. The homeowner called it the best investment they had made in the property.
