Our process starts with an on-site consultation where we evaluate soil type, drainage patterns, grading, and underground utilities. We excavate to the appropriate depth (typically eight to twelve inches), remove any soft or organic soils, and install a compacted aggregate base of six to eight inches placed in lifts with vibratory equipment. Grading is pitched to direct water away from your home's foundation toward proper discharge points. On Long Island, where high water tables and limited storm sewer capacity are common, effective drainage design is built into every project.

With the base prepared, we apply a tack coat and place hot-mix asphalt in controlled layers, a minimum of two and a half to three inches for standard residential use, with increased thickness for heavier loads. Steel-drum and pneumatic-tire rollers achieve the compaction density needed for a smooth, long-lasting surface. We finish with clean edge trimming, level transitions to garage floors and walkways, and precise installation of any Belgian block borders or paver edging on concrete footings.
