Professional paver patios for Belle Terre homeowners. Exclusive village, private community
Belle Terre is one of Long Island's most exclusive gated communities, and Brothers Paving & Masonry builds paver patios that meet the exacting standards of this private peninsula village. Overlooking Port Jefferson Harbor and Long Island Sound, Belle Terre's grand estates demand hardscape installations that are both visually stunning and structurally engineered for the unique challenges of waterfront, wooded, and sloped terrain. We bring that level of craftsmanship to every project we complete within the village gates.
Our Belle Terre patio projects are designed for estate-scale living. These properties often feature sweeping grounds that call for expansive outdoor living environments — multi-zone patios exceeding 1,500 square feet with dedicated entertaining terraces, fire pit lounges, outdoor kitchens, and pool surrounds connected by paver walkways through manicured gardens. We install premium pavers from Cambridge, Belgard, Nicolock, Unilock, Techo-Bloc, and EP Henry, as well as natural bluestone and imported travertine for homeowners who want materials that match the grandeur of their homes.
Every Belle Terre installation is engineered for the peninsula's specific conditions. Coastal proximity means salt air exposure, elevated water tables, and soils that vary from sandy loam to dense clay within short distances. We excavate to engineered depth based on site-specific soil analysis, install geotextile fabric and compacted aggregate bases designed for maximum freeze-thaw stability, and select materials with proven salt and moisture resistance. The result is a patio that performs as beautifully in year fifteen as it does on completion day.
Belle Terre is an incorporated village within the Town of Brookhaven, occupying a private peninsula that juts into Port Jefferson Harbor with Long Island Sound to the north. The village is accessed through a gated entrance and features winding, tree-lined roads, dramatic bluff-top lots overlooking the harbor, and densely wooded interior properties that feel completely removed from suburban Long Island. This combination of exclusivity, natural beauty, and challenging terrain makes Belle Terre one of the most demanding and rewarding communities for paver patio installation.
The housing stock in Belle Terre consists of large custom-built homes on lots ranging from one to five acres. Architectural styles span grand Colonials, contemporary waterfront designs, Tudors, and Mediterranean-inspired estates. Many properties have been expanded and renovated over the decades, but outdoor hardscaping has not always kept pace — we frequently encounter original concrete patios, deteriorated brick, or simply large lawns with no usable outdoor entertaining space. These properties represent enormous untapped potential for multi-zone patio designs.
Belle Terre's peninsula geography creates dramatic terrain variations. Harbor-facing properties on the east side enjoy panoramic water views but often sit on steep bluffs that require retaining walls and terraced construction to create level patio surfaces. Sound-facing properties on the north side experience more severe coastal exposure and wind. Interior properties are heavily wooded with gentler grades but present root management and shade considerations. Brothers Paving has experience with all three conditions.
Property values in Belle Terre typically range from $800,000 to well over $3 million, reflecting the village's exclusivity and waterfront positioning. The Port Jefferson School District and proximity to Stony Brook University add to the area's appeal. A professionally installed paver patio is a transformative investment for Belle Terre estates, converting unused ground into sophisticated outdoor living space that enhances both daily enjoyment and long-term property value.

Learn MoreBelle Terre's peninsula geography exposes properties to coastal conditions from multiple directions — harbor winds from the east, Sound exposure from the north, and elevated water tables throughout the low-lying central areas. Soils on the peninsula range from sandy loam on the bluffs to heavier clay in the interior lowlands, and we always perform on-site soil evaluation before specifying base depths. Bluff-top properties require careful attention to drainage routing — surface and subsurface water must be directed away from the bluff edge to prevent erosion. We install French drain systems and catch basins on all waterfront-side projects and select pavers with high freeze-thaw cycle ratings and low water absorption to withstand Belle Terre's salt exposure. The village's gated access and narrow interior roads require advance coordination for material deliveries and equipment staging, which we plan during the proposal phase to ensure smooth project execution.
Real projects we've completed for Belle Terre homeowners.
Designed and built a 2,200 sq ft Techo-Bloc Blu patio complex on a bluff-top estate with panoramic harbor views. The project includes a main entertaining terrace with a 16-foot outdoor kitchen island, a lower fire pit terrace connected by natural bluestone steps, and 150 linear feet of paver walkways to the pool house. Two engineered retaining walls manage the 5-foot grade change. Full subsurface drainage system routes water away from the bluff edge.
Scope: 2,200 sq ft patio, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, retaining walls, walkways, drainage
Installed 1,600 sq ft of Belgard Catalina Grana pavers around an existing pool on a heavily wooded interior lot. Preserved all mature oaks by designing the patio footprint around root zones. Added bullnose coping, a curved sitting wall with pillar caps, and integrated LED pathway lighting. The warm earth-toned pavers complement the natural woodland setting.
Scope: 1,600 sq ft pool patio, coping, sitting wall, lighting, tree preservation
Built a 500 sq ft Cambridge Ledgestone terrace on the north-facing bluff with Long Island Sound views. Features a stone-clad gas fire pit, curved Nicolock seating wall, and wind-resistant design with a low perimeter wall that shields the seating area from Sound breezes. All materials selected for maximum salt and freeze-thaw resistance given the severe coastal exposure.
Scope: 500 sq ft terrace, gas fire pit, seating wall, perimeter wall
