Professional paver patios for Lloyd Harbor homeowners. Exclusive waterfront estates
Lloyd Harbor represents the pinnacle of Long Island's Gold Coast living, and Brothers Paving & Masonry builds paver patios that meet the extraordinary standards of this exclusive waterfront village. From the grand estates along Lloyd Harbor Road to the secluded properties near West Neck Road, our installations are engineered to perform on Lloyd Harbor's unique coastal terrain while delivering the refined aesthetic that these exceptional homes demand. We are not a volume contractor — every Lloyd Harbor project receives hands-on oversight from our senior crew.
Our Lloyd Harbor patio projects are among the most ambitious we undertake. These properties often feature expansive grounds that call for 1,000 to 3,000-square-foot outdoor living environments — multi-zone patios with dedicated dining areas, sunken fire pit lounges, outdoor kitchens, pool surrounds, and paver walkways connecting the main house to guest cottages, pool houses, and waterfront access points. We install premium pavers from Cambridge, Belgard, Nicolock, Unilock, Techo-Bloc, and EP Henry, as well as natural bluestone and imported travertine.
The foundation of every Lloyd Harbor patio is engineered for permanence. We excavate to proper depth based on site-specific soil conditions, install heavy-duty geotextile fabric, and build compacted aggregate bases that account for Long Island's severe freeze-thaw cycles and the elevated water tables common in this peninsula community. Every paver is hand-set with precision, every joint filled with polymeric sand, and every edge restrained with concrete-set aluminum edging that prevents shifting for decades.
Lloyd Harbor is an incorporated village occupying the Lloyd Neck peninsula — a narrow, heavily wooded landmass extending into Huntington Bay and Long Island Sound. This geography creates coastal conditions that directly impact hardscape installation: salt air accelerates surface weathering on certain materials, elevated water tables near the shoreline require aggressive subsurface drainage, and the sandy loam soils along West Neck can shift seasonally if bases are not over-engineered. Brothers Paving accounts for every one of these factors during project planning.
The estates in Lloyd Harbor are among the largest and most valuable on Long Island. Properties routinely sit on two to ten acres or more, with homes that range from historic Gold Coast mansions to architecturally significant modern builds. The scale of these properties creates design opportunities that simply do not exist in denser communities — we can build expansive entertainment patios, dedicated fire pit terraces separated by ornamental gardens, and seamless transitions from indoor living spaces to outdoor rooms that feel like natural extensions of the home.
Lloyd Harbor's proximity to Caumsett State Park and Target Rock National Wildlife Refuge reflects the community's commitment to preserving the natural landscape. Our designs respect this ethos — we work with the existing terrain rather than against it, preserve mature specimen trees, and incorporate natural stone elements that complement the wooded, waterfront character of the village. Permeable paver options are increasingly popular here for homeowners who want to minimize stormwater runoff on properties near the Sound.
With median home values well above $2 million, Lloyd Harbor homeowners invest in outdoor improvements that match the caliber of their homes. A professionally installed paver patio from Brothers Paving is not just an aesthetic upgrade — it is a structural improvement that adds usable square footage, enhances the property's entertaining capability, and delivers strong returns in a real estate market where outdoor living space is a decisive factor for buyers.

Learn MoreLloyd Harbor's peninsula geography means nearly every property is influenced by coastal conditions. The sandy loam and glacial till soils along West Neck Road and Lloyd Harbor Road drain quickly in summer but can become saturated during nor'easters and prolonged winter rain, raising the water table to within 18 inches of the surface in low-lying areas. We design every Lloyd Harbor patio with subsurface drainage infrastructure — perforated pipe in clean angular stone wrapped in filter fabric — to keep the base dry year-round. Coastal exposure also means salt-laden wind, so we recommend pavers with proven freeze-thaw and salt resistance ratings, such as Cambridge's ArmorTec line or Techo-Bloc's Blu series. Access logistics on Lloyd Harbor's narrow, tree-lined roads require careful equipment planning to protect the roadways and neighboring landscapes.
Real projects we've completed for Lloyd Harbor homeowners.
Designed and installed a 2,800 sq ft Techo-Bloc Blu patio complex on a 5-acre waterfront estate. The project includes a main entertaining terrace off the great room, a detached fire pit lounge with a circular Nicolock seating wall, a pool patio with travertine coping, and 200 linear feet of paver walkways connecting the main house to the pool house. Full subsurface drainage system manages the high coastal water table.
Scope: 2,800 sq ft patio, pool surround, fire pit, seating wall, walkways, drainage
Built a 600 sq ft raised Cambridge Ledgestone patio with a timber-faced retaining wall overlooking Lloyd Harbor. The elevated terrace captures panoramic water views and includes integrated LED riser lights, a built-in planter wall, and a natural bluestone step-down to the lawn. Drainage was engineered to route runoff away from the bluff edge.
Scope: 600 sq ft raised patio, retaining wall, lighting, steps
Removed 1,800 sq ft of deteriorated concrete pool deck and replaced with Belgard Mega-Libre pavers in a running bond pattern. Installed new bullnose coping, a 10-foot outdoor kitchen island with granite countertop, and a channel drain system along the pool edge. The existing mature oak canopy was fully preserved throughout construction.
Scope: 1,800 sq ft pool patio, outdoor kitchen, coping, drainage
